Children's Writing Competition Offered by Louisville Orthodontist

DENVER, CO -- The Louisville orthodontist specialists at Smile Zone Orthodontics are running a writing competition for school-age children. The contest's topic is: "What I did this summer." Contestants must write at least one page and the office encourages children to write with humor and creativity. The practice will be accepting submissions at their offices until September 15, 2010, when the judging will commence.

"I think it's vital for youngsters to express themselves in writing," says Louisville Damon system specialist Dr. Jonathan Weinbach. "Writing is an essential skill that individuals will need for their entire lives. We're thrilled to encourage children who are sharpening their communications abilities and we hope they have some fun with it."

Two local school teachers from Westminster CO and Louisville CO will serve as judges. They will analyze the submissions based on length, creativity, and proper grammar. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded.

"We're excited to start reading these entries," says Dr. Weinbach, a Louisville braces provider. "Kids can think up some pretty creative ideas when they focus on it."
