Chen Lo and The Lo Frequency to Perform at NCIV's 50th Anniversary Gala

After returning from an incredible tour of the Middle East and North Africa coordinated by the local American Embassies in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, the 6-member Brooklyn-based Hip Hop band, composed of lead vocalist Chen Lo, bassist Baassik, lead guitarist Hakhi Alakhun, singer Shannon Grier, turntablist DJ Scandales, and drummer Ken White, will help NCIV members from across the United States and citizen diplomats from around the globe celebrate half a century of leadership in citizen diplomacy - the concept that individual citizens have the right, and even the responsibility, to help shape U.S. foreign relations "one handshake at a time." Sherry L. Mueller, president of NCIV, said, "As the private sector partner with the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, NCIV sought to engage musicians that use music as a tool to promote cultural and citizen diplomacy.
